"Kryptonite is the name given to shards of matter cast off from the planet Krypton after its destruction. It is famous for being the ultimate natural weakness of Superman and most other Kryptonians. Green Kryptonite is the most common form of kryptonite. It exists primarily as a metallic ore, but can also be found in crystalline forms. Exposure to green kryptonite radiation will greatly weaken a Kryptonian, robbing them of their powers. Prolonged exposure proves fatal."

A piece of Kryptonite in crystalline form turned into a Necklace. Although small, it holds immense power. Wear it with care.
The Kryptonite will hold a charge for some time after being left in the light for a few minutes. It gets more powerful if charged with real sunlight, but normal house lighting will allow it to charge as well. Keep in mind that it gets weaker over time and, after the initial high glow period it will settle to a duller glow that can be seen for some time but only in total darkness.
